Hi Edward,

Have you tried to update the printer driver? If not, try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1:

You may update the Printer driver from Device Manager manually and check if this helps.

1. Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + R and type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotes) and hit Enter.

2. Spot and expand the Printer Drivers.

3. Right click on the video driver and select Update Driver Software. Once this is done, restart the computer to check the problem fixed.

Method 2:

If there are no updated drivers available on the computer manufacturer's website, then try installing it in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer's website.

2. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on 'properties' .

3. Click on the 'compatibility' tab and check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

We'll wait for your update.

I have the same sort of issue

"restart epson easy photo print after installing the latest version of easy print module" when trying to use Epson Easy Photo print.

It would appear that the WINDOWS upgrades have rendered that software 'unusable' by being no longer compatible?

I too have the same problem after install Windows 10 1709 update. I have tried to uninstall all the printer drivers and reinstall them(which I downloaded from EPSON's website) again a couple of times. However the problem stays the same. When I open EPSON Easy Photo Print and/or EPSON Easy CD Print my PC became very unresponsive. It slows down so much that even switch to a new window/program took more than 20 seconds.  And I have a quite new PC. Ryzen 7, 16Gb Ram, SSD... So I am sure the PC's hardware is fast enough. What's more before 1709 update everything was super smooth.

I've just borrowed the EPSON RX600 for scanning dia's. I've never used it before on my W10 machine.

I'm also using W10 1709 and have the same error message :"restart epson easy photo print after installing the latest version of easy print module" when trying to use Epson Easy Photo print.

I'm surprised to have this many HW & SW issues after theW10 1709 upgrade. Some more examples:

- Several HW items appear twice in device manager

- Sitecom Bluetooth 4.0 adapter - CN-524 driver corrupted (no solution found so far)

- Asus EN9400GT_DI_512M(LP) GPU driver corrupted (deleted, reinstalled and it went ok)

@Microsoft: W10 1709 Fall Creator's Update needs some serious rework!

I am totally agree with you about 1709 needs serous rework. BTW, my printer otherwise works ok. It prints with MS' own photo app. It scans. However EPSON's own photo printing software (EPSON Easy Photo Print v2.70)just not working. It worked flawlessly on earlier Windows 10 though.

I had same problem but just installed the latest driver from Epson and it worked. Strange how it didn't work with the driver that windows found.

I believe that i'm on 1709 though windows says 10.0.16299 Build 16229

Version 1709 (Fall Creators Update)
